Confidentiality policy

The current confidentiality policy confirms the commitment of the Quebec Liberal Party to ensure that your private life is respected and preserved, and that the information that you share with us is kept confidential.

Our policy is in conformity with the applicable legislative provisions, notably those in Quebec’s Elections Act, and supplements the relevant legislation. Essentially, the Quebec Liberal Party is committed to confidentiality, both in the collection of private information and in the use of the data once collected. Any personal information you share with the party will be safeguarded.

The only information we will collect about you is the information you choose to provide to us when you complete a form (for example, a membership form). Therefore, we will only collect information related to your identity as a physical person – for example, your name, your date of birth, your E-mail address and your mailing address.

The only people who will have access to this information are those whose functions are managing subscriptions or communications with subscribers.

We will only use this information to contact you to inform you of party news and events, by publishing newsletters and other forms of informative materials. However, you can always request to no longer be contacted and to no longer receive any information from the QLP. You can make these requests at any time.

We promise that unauthorized third parties will not access your personal information. In addition, our server is located in a safe, secure location. Please note that financial transactions for party events, membership and donations take place on an external secure server and that we do not collect your financial data for future use.

For more information on the confidentiality policy, or if you have questions about the specifics of the policy, please do not hesitate to contact us by E-mail at [email protected]
