A young entrepreneur with 18 years’ experience in research and marketing, Caroline Simard is the new deputy of the electoral division of Charlevoix-Côte-de-Beaupré sins the 7th of April 2014.
Mrs. Simard received her DEC from Quebec City’s Collège François-Xavier-Garneau and followed it up with a B.A. in French language studies (writing and communication) at l’Université de Sherbrooke.
She began her professional career in 1996 with Statistics Canada, before moving to Sherbrooke’s Tenor Marketing where she rose rapidly to head of human resources and marketing research. Seeking new challenges, she moved to Montreal in 2000 where she worked as a freelance marketing research analyst with Léger Marketing Inc. At the same time, she was awarded several mandates as analyst, editor-reviser and focus group leader for several companies in the Montreal area. At the start of 2001, she accepted the invitation of Groupe Cossette Communication and joined the ranks of Impact Recherche in Quebec City as project leader and consultant. She remained there until December 2006 when she left to form her own company, Doxa Focus.
Caroline Simard also has an impressive social involvement track record. She is a member of, among others, the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie de Québec (C.C.I.Q.),the Chambre de commerce de Charlevoix, l’Alliance Affaires Côte-de-Beaupré, and la Jeune chambre de commerce de Québec (J.C.C.Q.) As well, she is a Mentor in the mentoring program of the Placement Service of l’Université Laval. She also sits on the advisory committee of the Société de l’arthrite de l’Est-du-Québec. Caroline Simard also serves as an expert trainer for entrepreneurs for Ressources entreprises and sits on the women’s action and leadership committee of the C.C.I.Q. as a member-expert in communication-marketing.
