A native of Saint-Tite, Julie Boulet has a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from l’Université Laval and is a mother of two.
Prior to entering provincial politics, she was a practicing pharmacist with her own business in her hometown.
Elected as the Member of National Assembly for Laviolette on October 1, 2001 and re-elected in 2003, 2007, 2008, and 2012, she has served as Minister responsible for Health and Social Services; Minister responsible for Transportation, and Minister of Transportation; Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity, and Minister responsible for the Mauricie region.
Julie Boulet has always been very involved in her community. Besides being a member of the Business Association of Saint-Tite, she is also actively involved in organizing the Western Festival de Saint-Tite. She is the President of the Festival, responsible for the reconstruction of the bleachers.
