Lucie Charlebois

A native of Coteau Station now called Les Coteaux, Lucie Charlebois is married, a mother of two children and four time grandmother. Well known in the region of Soulanges, she comes from the business world. Administrator and entrepreneur, she has led a spring water distribution company for more than 10 years. 

In 2003, Lucie Charlebois went into politics. She is elected MNA for the riding of Soulanges in the elections on April 14. She is re-elected on March 26, 2007, then on December 8, 2008 and on September 4, 2012, for the fourth consecutive term.
Over the years, Mrs. Charlebois, was a member of several Parliamentary Committees and Ministerial Committees. She has held the function of Chief Government Whip from February 2011 to September 2012. Appointed by her colleagues in February 2009, she chaired the Montérégie Caucus until 2011. Between October 2012 and April 2014, she holds concurrently the functions of Assistant Official Opposition Whip and Official Opposition critic for tourism. She was reelected on April 7, 2014.

Active in her community, she is a member of the Soulanges Business people Association since 1992 and was Chairwoman of the Board in 1998 and 1999. Meanwhile, Lucie Charlebois was also member of the Chamber of Commerce of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield from 1992 to 1999, member of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Businesswomen Network from 1992 to 1998, President of the Centraide annual fundraising campaign for the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region in 1995, and she has served on the Board of Directors of the Caisse populaire of Coteau-du-Lac from 1990 to 1997. 

Lucie Charlebois has always lived in the region and has developed her slogan: «Soulanges is my passion; its citizens are my inspiration!"
