The holder of a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Ecole Nationale d’Administration Publique, Robert Poeti is also recognized for his brilliant career in the Sûreté du Québec, as well as for his Journal de Montréal columns and his appearances on the Benoit Dutrizac show on 98.5 FM.
All throughout his life; Mr. Poeti has actively participated in rewriting Quebec history. As assistant director in the emergency services section of the provincial police during major events such as the Summit of the Americas and the 1998 Ice Storm crisis, he demonstrated his prodigious talents for management and involvement. He was also responsible for highway safety.
In the private sector, he was director of business affairs for almost seven years with Dicom and GoJit, two Quebec innovators in transportation. An adept businessman, he subsequently launched his own business, Robert Poeti Communication, in August 2011.
Mr. Poeti was elected for the first time as a Member of National Assembly in 2012 and re-elected on April 7th, 2014.
Robert Poeti has always gravitated toward volunteering in his community, notably with the Tour of Hope, a motorcycle rally for Monique and Sophie Thibault, which raises funds to combat multiple sclerosis.
Integrity beyond reproach earned him the Service Medal for twenty-five (25) years exemplary conduct, as well as the Queen’s Jubilee Commemorative Medal for his contribution to public order in Canada.
