En route to the 2018 general election

Saint-Hilarion, May 24, 2018. – Surrounded by many party members and supporters, Caroline Simard was nominated as the official candidate for the Quebec Liberal Party (QLP) in the riding of Charlevoix–Côte-de-Beaupré for the upcoming 2018 general election.

I am seeking a second term with the firm intention to continue to be very present, proactive and responsive over the next four years, as much for residents as for municipal officials and economic players, so that together we can continue our work on the projects that we want to see completed.

Caroline Simard, MNA for Charlevoix–Côte-de-Beaupré, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Tourism and Liberal candidate for the 2018 general election.

Note that the Liberal government has balanced our public finances to give us the means to invest more in our priorities. Since May 2014, more than 224,800 jobs have been created in Québec; the unemployment rate has been at an all-time low for several months; over 1,000,000 Quebecers now have access to a family doctor; taxes have decreased; and major investments have been made in health and education, in particular.

I like to repeat that I have every confidence in Charlevoix, Côte-de-Beaupré and Île d’Orléans, which have many strong assets, including dynamic people who are ready to roll up their sleeves. Together, let’s improve economic vitality and diversity to the benefit of our communities.

Caroline Simard, MNA for Charlevoix–Côte-de-Beaupré, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Tourism and Liberal candidate for the 2018 general election.
