The Quebec Liberal Party announced the creation of a Reflection and Consultation Committee on the revival of the Party. The committee will travel throughout Quebec over the coming months and prepare a report on the Party’s orientations.

The mandate entrusted to the committee by the QLP’s Executive Committee is to seek to answer the following questions:
- What does it mean to be a Liberal in Quebec in 2023?
- What place is there for the Quebec Liberal Party in the new political landscape?
- What are the defining principles of 21st century liberalism that should be promoted and drawn from as inspiration by the Quebec Liberal Party?
- How can we transform these principles into concrete orientations to address Quebecers’ aspirations?
The committee is composed of 14 experienced individuals who are involved in Quebec’s political and civic life. The committee’s co-presidents, Madwa-Nika Cadet, MNA representing Bourassa-Sauvé, and André Pratte, are supported by the following members: Antoine Dionne-Charest, Catherine Boundjia, Claude Laroche, Émilie Nadeau, Geoffrey Kelley, Jean D’Amour, Laurence Lefebvre, Lucie Charlebois, Noémie Fiset-Tremblay, Pierre Arcand, Valérie Pomerleau and William Baril. The committee’s composition is a reflection of the generational, regional and cultural diversity that has always been a trademark of the QLP.
Together, they will travel throughout Quebec until September of 2023, gathering opinions and suggestions from Quebec Liberal Party institutions, members and supporters, as well as invited experts. The committee’s report will be submitted to supporters for consideration at the Party’s General Council which is scheduled for the fall of 2023. The QLP is determined to listen to its members, supporters as well as all Quebecers.
For Quebec Liberal Party President Rafaël Primeau-Ferraro, this process of reflection and discussion is essential. “Like any organization, the QLP needs to take stock of its orientations, welcome new ideas and modernize its practices. I am confident that the conclusions will allow our political party to offer an ambitious vision for Quebec’s future,” declared the QLP President.
