En route towards the 2018 general elections

Hampstead, April 16, 2018. – While surrounded by supporters David Birnbaum was inaugurated as the official candidate for the Quebec Liberal Party (QLP) in the riding of D’Arcy-McGee for the next Quebec general election in 2018.

I’m really proud to have the opportunity to seek a second mandate to serve the residents of the D’Arcy-McGee riding. It has been a challenging but deeply rewarding first mandate for me. I can’t wait to begin campaign trail with the Premier and my colleagues in the quest for a second one!

– David Birnbaum, Liberal candidate for the 2018 general election,.

Remember that the Liberal government has restored the balance of public finances to give us the means to invest more in our priorities. Since May 2014, more than 238,600 jobs have been created in Quebec; the unemployment rate has never been as low as it is; more than 1,000,000 Quebecers have found a family doctor; there has been a drop in taxes, as well as major investments in health and education.

It has been a productive and exciting first four years as MNA for D’Arcy-McGee. I had the historic privilege of accompanying the Premier on an economic mission to Israel, I’ve fought for the integrity of the riding’s boundaries, we’ve secured funding for Phase IV of the building project at the Jewish General Hospital, and we’ve made important progress on supporting the City of Montreal in developing the Cavendish extension. Moreover, I trust I have been a strong voice within our government for access to services in English, inclusion and diversity and for Canadian unity.
