On July 30th, following an invitation from the Regroupement des organismes communautaires autonomes jeunesse du Québec (ROCAJQ) and in the presence of socially committed young people, the Leader of the Official Opposition, Ms. Dominique Anglade signed the Déclaration d’engagement jeunesse.

Thus, Dominique Anglade is committing to encouraging social inclusion and the development of initiatives among young people, while reaffirming the importance that her political party places on generational issues. Recall that this declaration seeks to promote citizen participation among young people and reminds us of our collective duty to take action in order to deconstruct certain institutional barriers that hinder greater involvement among Quebec youth.

By signing this Déclaration d’engagement jeunesse, I would like to send a strong message to Quebec’s youth; I understand you and I am with you. Having been involved in a number of organizations myself, I know how young people’s involvement can generate new ideas and innovative projects for our society. As a mother, I also know that my children dream of a Quebec where everyone can fulfill their potential. So, on this International Youth Day, let’s listen to what they have to tell us. Let’s refuse the status quo and build a Quebec that truly reflects who we are. As Leader of the Quebec Liberal Party, I want to reiterate that I will do all in my power to ensure that our young people become the generation that, thanks to its vision and its audacity, will dare to shake things up to help Quebec evolve. Great things await us and I am convinced that we will achieve them together.

–Dominique Anglade, Leader of the Official Opposition
