En route to the 2018 general election
Saint-Lazare-de-Bellechasse, April 29, 2018. – Surrounded by hundreds of party members and supporters, Dominique Vien was nominated as the official candidate for the Quebec Liberal Party (QLP) in the riding of Bellechasse for the upcoming 2018 general election.
I am extremely proud to run as a candidate to represent the riding of Bellechasse for the sixth time. I still have the same passion that drives me and I want to continue the work we have done over the past several years. The realization of major projects such as the extension of the natural gas network to Sainte-Claire and the economic revival plan for Les Etchemins are a testament to my commitment and determination. Since my first election, I have been listening to the population as well as social and economic partners in the riding, and thanks to this concerted work, Bellechasse, Les Etchemins and Pintendre now have an enviable position in the new Quebec.
– Dominique Vien, MNA for Bellechasse, Minister responsible for Labour, Minister responsible for the Chaudière-Appalaches region and Liberal candidate for the 2018 general election.
Note that the Liberal government has balanced our public finances to give us the means to invest more in our priorities. Since May 2014, more than 238,600 jobs have been created in Québec; the unemployment rate has been at an all-time low for several months; over 1,000,000 Quebecers now have access to a family doctor; taxes have decreased; and major investments have been made in health and education, in particular.
The riding of Bellechasse is fertile ground for entrepreneurs, and the community plays an important role. In short, our community enjoys unparalleled vigour and I want to continue to develop our riding in collaboration with the community, as I have always done. Wonderful projects and new challenges await us and I want my knowledge and experience to benefit the people and businesses of Bellechasse.
– Dominique Vien, MNA for Bellechasse, Minister responsible for Labour, Minister responsible for the Chaudière-Appalaches region and Liberal candidate for the 2018 general election.
