En Route Toward the 2018 General Election
Montreal, August 16, 2018. – The leader of the Quebec Liberal Party and Premier of Quebec, Philippe Couillard, is proud to announce the nomination of Enrico Ciccone as the official QLP candidate for the riding of Marquette in the upcoming 2018 general election.
Enrico Ciccone’s professional and personal experience are a testament to his perseverance, his determination, his ability to listen and his thirst for helping young Quebecers follow their dreams. Today, by getting involved within our party, he is asserting his ambition to help build Quebec. His profound desire to make a difference in the everyday lives of the citizens of Marquette, and take concrete action to improve their quality of life, make him the best candidate to represent them at the National Assembly.

Recall that the Liberal government restored public finances to provide us with the means to further invest in our priorities. Since May of 2014, over 223,000 jobs were created in Quebec; the unemployment rate has been at an all-time low for several months; over 1,000,000 Quebecers now have access to a family doctor; taxes have decreased; and major investments have been made, particularly in the health care and education sectors.
I am also very proud of running with the Quebec Liberal Party. It is the party that represents me. It’s the party that best reflects my values and my vision. The government has accomplished great things over the past years and I want to contribute to that by joining the team.
