En route toward the 2018 general election

Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, August 7, 2018. – “I firmly believe that if we want to get things done, we need to get involved”, stated Félix Rhéaume, the official Quebec Liberal Party candidate for Beauharnois in the upcoming 2018 general election. The announcement took place at the Club Nautique in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield in a summery atmosphere, where he was surrounded by his friends and family, supporters and numerous elected officials.

Beauharnois is a riding that has really transformed over the last few years. Highway 30 in particular has changed the shape of the region and has opened up new possibilities for economic development. It’s important for young people from our generation who have children to actively participate, and that’s one of the reasons why I decided to get involved in politics.

Recall that the liberal government restored public finances to provide us with the means to further invest in our priorities. Since May of 2014, over 223,000 jobs have been created in Quebec; the unemployment rate has been at an all-time low for several months; over 1,000,000 Quebecers now have access to a family doctor; taxes have decreased; and major investments have been made, particularly in the health care and education sectors.

The role of a MNA is first and foremost to be there to listen to their fellow citizens, so that is my first commitment; to always be present, involved and ready to listen to the citizens of Beauharnois, to be here with you and for you!
