En route to the 2018 general election
Acton Vale, July 7, 2018 – Surrounded by many party members and supporters, François Vaes was nominated as the official candidate for the Quebec Liberal Party (QLP) in the riding of Johnson for the upcoming 2018 general election.
A decisive choice for the future of Québec awaits us on October 1. I am very excited and confident about representing the people of Johnson during the next opening of the National Assembly.

Note that the Liberal government has balanced our public finances to give us the means to invest more in our priorities. Since May 2014, more than 223,000 jobs have been created in Québec; the unemployment rate has been at an all-time low for several months; over 1,000,000 Quebecers now have access to a family doctor; taxes have decreased; and major investments have been made, particularly in health and education.
I look forward to meeting the people of my riding and talking with them about their concerns over the next few weeks. I am committed to defending their interests, participating in the development of our region and taking on the issues that affect our daily lives, including regional development, agriculture and rural transportation.
