En route towards the 2018 general election

Montreal, July 26, 2018. – Surrounded by numerous militants and supporters, Julien Provencher-Proulx became the official Quebec Liberal Party (QLP) candidate in the riding of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve for the upcoming 2018 general elections.

I would like to seize the tribune that politics offers to promote the values which inspire me and which are the basis for my political involvement. These are openness, inclusion, intergenerational equity, and economic development to benefit public services.

Julien Provencher-Proulx, liberal candidate for the 2018 general elections.

Recall that the liberal government restored public finances to provide us with the means to further invest in our priorities. Since May of 2014, over 223 000 jobs were created in Quebec; the unemployment rate has been at an all-time low for several months; over 1,000,000 Quebecers now have access to a family doctor; taxes have decreased; and major investments have been made, particularly in the health care and education sectors.

This election campaign will be an occasion to discuss and find solutions for issues that are dear to the electors of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, like access to local health-care services, access to housing within the current context of gentrification, as well as the development of public transit.
