Québec City, October 10, 2018. – Pierre Arcand, Interim Leader of the Quebec Liberal Party, has appointed his parliamentary officers and Chief of Staff.
Sébastien Proulx, MNA for Jean-Talon, will be the House Leader. Filomena Rotiroti, MNA for Jeanne-Mance-Viger, remains Caucus Chair, while Nicole Ménard, MNA for Laporte, retains her position as Whip for the Quebec Liberal Party.
For his office, Mr. Arcand named Véronique Normandin as Chief of Staff. She has close to ten years’ experience in politics and has served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Press Secretary for Mr. Arcand for almost four years. She was also Chief of Staff for outgoing minister Véronyque Tremblay.
Sébastien, Filomena, Nicole and Véronique have many years’ experience, and I fully trust them. We face great challenges to rebuild the Quebec Liberal Party in the coming years; therefore, I need a strong and dynamic team. Once again, I would like to thank the Liberal MNAs for placing their trust in me and appointing me Interim Leader. I want you to know that I truly believe in our team. We will be the Official Opposition. We are determined and ready to defend the interests of Quebecers.
