En route to the 2018 general election

Pincourt, June 21, 2018. – Surrounded by many party members and supporters, Marie-Claude Nichols was nominated as the official candidate for the Quebec Liberal Party (QLP) in the riding of Vaudreuil for the upcoming 2018 general election.

I am proud to be the MNA for this wonderful riding and to have the chance to run for office again to continue the work started in Vaudreuil. We have done a lot for the riding and we want to continue. Change requires continuity.

Marie-Claude Nichols, Liberal candidate for the 2018 general election.

Note that the Liberal government has balanced our public finances to give us the means to invest more in our priorities. Since May 2014, more than 229,500 jobs have been created in Québec; the unemployment rate has been at an all-time low for several months; over 1,000,000 Quebecers now have access to a family doctor; taxes have decreased; and major investments have been made, particularly in health and education.

We relaunched the hospital project thanks to hard work, the help of my colleague Lucie Charlebois, from Soulanges, and the collaboration of our Minister of Health, Gaétan Barrette. Our Vaudreuil-Soulanges hospital will meet the needs of the people here in a significant way and we’ll be welcoming the first patients by 2025.
