The MNA representing Jacques-Cartier and Liberal Critic for Relations with English-Speaking Quebecers and Forests, Wildlife and Parks, Mr. Gregory Kelley, highlights the 10th edition of Quebec National Park Day, which will be observed on September 7, 2019.
Since 1999, Quebecers have been fortunate enough to rely on the Sépaq to protect and showcase Quebec’s most beautiful natural sites. National Parks Day is the perfect occasion to discover the natural and cultural riches that these protected sites have to offer, as access to the 23 parks in the Sépaq network will be free of charge.
Recall that the Sépaq’s unionized workers are still in negotiations to renew their collective agreement. As hunting season approaches, Mr. Kelley hopes that hunters will not be subject to decreased services. As far as the MNA representing Jacques-Cartier is concerned, the government needs to take the necessary steps to remedy the situation and ensure that users aren’t made to pay the price.
Discover the best that nature has to offer by coming out in large numbers to take part in National Parks Day. Whether it’s to enjoy fishing, a walk in the forest, or a canoe ride, any reason is a good reason to unwind and enjoy Quebec’s most beautiful natural sites.
