Health information online

QUÉBEC CITY, May 18, 2018 – The Minister of Health and Social Services, Gaétan Barrette, announced today that Quebecers will have access to the Québec Health Booklet as of Tuesday, May 22, 2018. This simple, secure and reliable online service allows people to access their health information for free, at any time.

Thanks to a secure authentication service, users will be able to:

  • See their list of medications obtained at a pharmacy;
  • Consult their test results;
  • Consult their medical imaging results;
  • Register with the Québec Family Doctor Finder and modify their registration, if necessary;
  • Schedule an appointment online with a family doctor using the Québec Medical Appointment Scheduler.

Over time, other services will be added to those that are already available, including, as of September 2018, the amount paid to the doctor when paid on a fee-for-service basis. In December 2018, subject to legislative changes, patients’ progress on wait lists for surgery will also be available and, finally, once the upcoming call for tenders is over, so will the Bibliothèque Santé (health library).

Quote:

The deployment of the Québec Health Booklet is a major step towards modernizing our health network. The trial period that took place over last few months was successful, and I am proud that people from all areas can now access this easy-to-use and, above all, secure tool. With this new service, patients will now be able to better manage their health.

– Gaétan Barrette, Minister of Health and Social Services
