Quotes

In carrying out their missions, our museums have become places of knowledge and discovery that offer visitors the chance to enjoy a unique and rewarding experience. Our government is investing in the vitality of these museums and educational centres to ensure that there is a high-quality museum offering in all the regions of Québec. These investments help reinforce a sense of belonging in our communities, while also stimulating tourism and knowledge-sharing.

– Marie Montpetit, Minister of Culture and Communications and Minister responsible for the Protection and Promotion of the French Language

In order to continue building an educated society, it is important to promote science and technology museums. I am proud to support these museums and educational centres in their activities, which raise scientific awareness among Quebecers and help our youth develop curiosity for the sciences.

– Dominique Anglade, Deputy Premier, Minister of Economy, Science and Innovation, and Minister responsible for the Digital Strategy

I am very pleased with the announcement of this financial aid, which is being offered to three Laval organizations, among others. They are symbols of pride for our community. Our museums not only promote tourism and sociocultural and economic development, but they help to create a strong sense of identity.

– Francine Charbonneau, Minister responsible for Seniors and Anti-Bullying and Minister responsible for the Laval region

I thank the people who work in our museums and educational centres, especially those concerned by today’s announcement, and most particularly those who work at the Armand-Frappier Museum in Chomedey. These teams know how to create environments where the identity and the pride of our cities and our regions are celebrated.

– Guy Ouellette, Member for Chomedey
