Montreal, March 1st, 2019. – The interim leader of Liberal Party, Mr. Pierre Arcand, wants to thank the outgoing president of the Quebec Liberal Party (QLP), Mr. Antoine Atallah, for his dedication to the party.
Mr. Atallah, who has occupied the position since November of 2017, has chosen to leave his post as president for personal reasons. The 32 year-old pharmacist has been a QLP supporter for many years. He was first involved within the party’s Commission-Jeunesse as of age 17, then as President of the Laurentians’ Regional Council. He also occupied the position of Vice-President of our party’s Policy Committee.
I would like to offer Antoine my most sincere thanks for the time and energy that he has invested in our party. He is a brilliant young man with a very promising future. Antoine had the courage and the grit to get involved in politics and we can only applaud that decision. Thank you Antoine for all of your work, I wish you the best with your future projects.

The First Vice-President of the Party, Ms. Katherine Martin, will serve as interim president until such time as the Executive Committee appoints a new president. The executive will convene shortly to name a new president.
