William Laroche

Chambord, November 12, 2018. –The interim leader of the Quebec Liberal Party (QLP) and MNA representing Outremont, Pierre Arcand, a native of the Roberval riding, as the official QLP candidate for the partial election which will be held on December 10th.

William Laroche was born in Saint-Prime, in Roberval, and still lives in the riding today, now in Chambord. William has been involved in his community with various causes. He is the President of the Festival du Cowboy de Chambord and a volunteer firefighter for the Chambord district. He has been the municipal councillor for the city of Chambord since 2017, a role that has given him the opportunity to work closely with his fellow citizens, to better understand and defend their interests on a daily basis. His experience within his community makes him an ideal candidate to represent the citizens of Roberval at Quebec’s National Assembly.

First of all, I would like to offer my sincere thanks to Mr. Couillard for his devotion to the citizens of Roberval and for all the work that he has accomplished since 2014 to develop our magnificent region. Over the course of the coming weeks, I will put all of my heart and energy into ensuring that Roberval maintains strong representation to provide the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region’s residents with an MNA who will defend them for the next four years. The riding of Roberval has priceless value in my eyes, and I promise the citizens that I will showcase it, make them proud of their roots and defend their interests at the National Assembly.

William Laroche, Liberal Candidate for the partial election in Roberval

William Laroche will be a strong voice in the National Assembly for the people of Roberval. This young man of 27 years is already very involved in his community as a municipal councillor. It’s so important to have young people making the leap into politics. They are the ones who will live with the decisions being made today. Young people bring a different perspective to a number of files. During the last election, seven new MNAs were elected within the Liberal team. William will be the eighth. These recruits will contribute to our party’s renewal.

Pierre Arcand

My involvement in my community, my knowledge of local issues and my desire to improve citizens’ quality of life have been my biggest source of motivation for becoming the Quebec Liberal Party candidate. The Liberal team has represented the citizens of Roberval well over the past years and I will spare no efforts to make sure that work continues.
