Francine Charbonneau

  • MNA since December 2008
  • Mother of three and grandmother of three
  • Loves taking walks and watching movies

My political engagement began in the school system in 1993, when I served as member and president of school committees, and then as Chair of the Parents’ Committee at the Milles-Îles school board. I was first elected to the Board of Commissioners of the Commission scolaire de Laval in 1998, and chaired it from 2002 to 2008.

I entered provincial politics in 2008 and was elected MNA for the riding of Milles-Îles.

The Premier of Quebec, Philippe Couillard, entrusted me with the roles of Minister responsible for Seniors and Anti-Bullying and Minister responsible for the Laval region. I also had the privilege of being the Minister of Families from 2014 to 2016.

While performing my ministerial duties, I’ve always committed myself to defending the interests of the residents of the riding that I proudly represent in the Quebec National Assembly.

Your MNA,

Francine Charbonneau
Official Opposition Critic for Vocational Training and Adult Education, and Forests, Wildlife and Parks
