With 32 years of experience within Quebec’s business community, Fred Beauchemin has big plans for Marguerite-Bourgeoys
Fred Beauchemin has been involved in the Canadian business community for more than 30 years as a financier with Scotiabank. He has also been involved with various social and health sector organizations and foundations.
For the past ten years, Fred has been the Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets at Scotiabank, where he built and led a team responsible for providing all of the bank’s risk management services in Quebec. He was responsible for business development for this service offered to commercial clients, government and financial institutions in Quebec. He has developed several structures to support the growth of large and well-known Quebec companies. During his career, he contributed to the growth of the bank’s activities in Montreal, Toronto, London and New York.
A committed community businessman, Fred is a member of the Board of Directors of the Père Sablon Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping young people from all walks of life achieve their full potential through sport and the great outdoors. He has also been active with the Fondation des Petits Rois, the Marie-Vincent Foundation and the Montreal Cancer Institute.
Fred now wants to put his economic experience and determination to work for the development of the Marguerite-Bourgeoys riding and for all of Quebec. He is committed to working tirelessly to ensure a better future for all citizens. By becoming actively involved in political life, he hopes to bring tangible added value to the advancement of various economic, social and environmental causes.
