Mathieu Gratton

Socially involved for the past 15 years to increase awareness about autism, Mathieu Gratton wishes to put his creativity and his listening skills at the service of the citizens of Laporte

Active on the Quebec cultural scene for more than 25 years, Mathieu Gratton became known to the Quebec public in the late ’90s as a host, comedian, speaker and writer. The Liberal candidate is known for his immense creativity and his many initiatives to highlight various social issues. Every year for the past 4 years, he has chosen the South Shore of Montreal to offer the most beautiful and inclusive shows benefitting autism for which he has always been able to count on the citizens of Laporte to attend.

As a parent of an autistic child, he is actively involved in raising awareness for the cause. He has initiated several projects for a collective respite system for affected families and greater labour market inclusion for people living with a disability. Mathieu Gratton and his family have been active for more than 5 years on various social networking platforms for autism awareness with 200,000 subscribers of the Facebook page “Le monde de Benjamin” which was created in 2017. For the past four years, the Liberal candidate has chosen his region of Montérégie to organize fundraisers and benefit shows for the cause of autism.

Although he still has a passion for humour, music and writing, he wants to be out on the field making a difference with the citizens of Laporte. Mathieu Gratton also wants to take action for youth mental health, to improve services offered to the most vulnerable populations, in support of senior citizens and for everyone’s happiness and well-being. With his ability to listen and his determination to do more to improve the lives of his fellow citizens, Mathieu Gratton will be a string voice for Laporte at Quebec’s National Assembly.
