- MNA for Mont-Royal since 2007
- Married, father of four
- Communications background
- History buff with a passion for politics
With my strong communications background, particularly as a journalist, director and co-owner of stations, and then as President of Corus Québec, I decided to enter politics in 2007.
The desire to contribute to the wellbeing of the riding’s citizens, to develop the Quebec economy and to commit myself to these causes are what pushed me to make that choice. It is with great pride that I have represented Mont-Royal in the National Assembly since March 26, 2007. I have held positions as Minister of International Relations, Minister responsible for La Francophonie, Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment and Parks, and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Minister responsible for the Plan Nord, Minister responsible for Government Administration and Ongoing Program Review and Chair of the Conseil du trésor.
Your MNA,
Pierre Arcand
