Wafa Oueslati is entering provincial politics in Chutes-de-la-Chaudière with the firm intention of being part of a team that recognizes the real issues and proposes real solutions.
Trained as a lawyer, Wafa Oueslati has been involved in politics since she was very young. Originally from Tunisia, she campaigned for greater social equity, women’s rights, and a democratic and just society. In 2013, she felt a calling to settle in Quebec. In order to enter the job market, she had to complete her equivalencies at the University of Montreal. That is how she joined the Chambre des Huissiers de Justice du Québec, in addition to working as a volunteer social worker. She decided to leave Montreal in 2020 to settle in Lévis. She fell in love with the city upon her arrival. While in Lévis the notion of becoming involved in politics came to her as a means to fulfill her desire to give back to this city that she loves so much. Wafa joined the Quebec Liberal Party, a party that reflected her convictions, expectations and ambitions.
I am involved in a team that is committed to results. A team that is not satisfied with inscribing social equity, rights and freedoms on its books and monuments, but that inscribes them in the reality of Quebecers’ daily lives. I am joining the Quebec Liberal Party because I believe in an inclusive society. I pledge to be a strong voice for the residents of Chutes-de-la-Chaudière. Together, more than ever, let’s vote for real solutions to real issues.
– Wafa Oueslati, Official Candidate for the Quebec Liberal Party in Chutes-de-la-Chaudière
