Terrebonne, July 3, 2026 — In a video featuring the leader of the Quebec Liberal Party, Mr. Charles Milliard, Mr. Ange Claude Bigilimana was officially nominated as the PLQ candidate for the Terrebonne riding.
Ange Claude Bigilimana, a resident of Terrebonne, is joining the Quebec Liberal Party to seek the voters’ support and represent the people of Terrebonne in the National Assembly.
Married and the father of three children, Mr. Bigilimana holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec. His education and professional experience give him a deep understanding of the infrastructure challenges facing Quebec.
Ange Claude Bigilimana was previously involved with the Conservative Party of Quebec. He first ran as a candidate in the 2022 elections, then in the Terrebonne riding during the 2025 by-election. He also served as the party’s interim president. Today, Charles Milliard’s Quebec Liberal Party is the political party that best aligns with his political convictions and serves as the best vehicle for advancing his ideas.
His involvement extends beyond his political commitment; he is active in the education sector, within the Order of Engineers, and on several boards of directors, including that of the École de technologie supérieure’s Réseau-ÉTS. These commitments reflect his desire to contribute to his community—a commitment he now hopes to continue by representing the citizens of Terrebonne in the National Assembly.
His top priorities include supporting families, improving public services—particularly in health care, education, and transportation—protecting the individual rights and freedoms of everyone, and managing public finances responsibly. As a father of three, he also believes it is essential for Quebec to generate more wealth in order to sustainably fund high-quality public services, both for seniors and for the generations that will ensure their long-term viability.
“Quebec is at a pivotal moment in its history. We are currently facing major challenges in the areas of public services, public finances, and infrastructure. My political commitment over the past few years has always been guided by the conviction that provincial politics can tangibly improve the lives of Quebecers. For me, the Quebec Liberal Party, led by Charles Milliard, represents the best option today for bringing about genuine renewal as we approach an election that will be decisive for Quebec’s future. I am very much looking forward to getting back out on the ground to meet with the citizens of Terrebonne, listen to their concerns, and bring their priorities to the National Assembly.”

We aspire to govern for all Quebecers, and Ange Claude’s arrival is a clear example of this openness. His professional experience, his commitment to his community, and his desire to serve the citizens of Terrebonne will be significant assets to our team. I am convinced that he will be an excellent candidate, and I am very much looking forward to campaigning alongside him. Welcome to the Liberal family, Ange Claude!”
