Lévis, July 9, 2026 — In the presence of the leader of the Quebec Liberal Party, Mr. Charles Milliard, Ms. Brittany Blais was officially nominated as the QLP candidate for the Lévis riding.
A native and resident of Lévis, Brittany Blais has served as executive director of the Maison du Loisir 50+, formerly known as the Maison des aînés de Lévis, since 2022. Today, she is making the leap into provincial politics under the banner of the Quebec Liberal Party as a candidate in her riding.
After studying at the Université du Québec à Rimouski (Lévis campus), the PLQ candidate served as coordinator of the 2-1-1 Québec service at the Bellechasse-Lévis-Lotbinière Volunteer Center from 2011 to 2018. She then joined the Maison des aînés de Lévis, first as a coordinator and then as executive director in 2022. Deeply rooted in her Lévis community, she has also held various student jobs in the region over the years.
In addition to her professional experience, Brittany Blais has 15 years of involvement in social development in Lévis. Currently serving as a board member of the Lévis and Saint-Lambert-de-Lauzon Seniors’ Council, a member of the City of Lévis’s Universal Accessibility Committee, and a member of the Lévis Municipal Housing Authority’s selection committee, she understands the importance of decentralizing decision-making authority to municipalities and local stakeholders. Her experience aligns with Charles Milliard’s commitment to giving more leverage to decision-making bodies that are closest to the realities faced by citizens.
Over the years, she has also served as a board member of the Quebec Association of Community Centers for Seniors and the Lévis Community Development Corporation. She has also served as a commissioner on the City of Lévis’s Social and Community Development Commission.
“Through my candidacy, I hope to put my hands-on and management experience to work for the community I have already been serving for years. It is important to me to advocate for an approach focused on community engagement, collaboration with the Lévis community, and support for community organizations. Charles Milliard’s Quebec Liberal Party, through what it stands for and the priorities it seeks to advance—particularly regarding decentralization to give municipalities greater autonomy—aligns with my convictions.”
— Brittany Blais, QLP candidate in Lévis
“Brittany Blais’s addition to the Liberal team is excellent news for the people of Lévis. A native of Lévis who lives in the region and is raising her two sons there, she knows the local people very well, as well as key figures in the community—particularly in the community and health sectors—thanks to her experience at the Maison des aînés and her extensive community involvement. As a native of Lévis myself, I’m really looking forward to returning to my hometown to campaign alongside Brittany Blais over the next few months!”
