Sherbrooke, June 6, 2026 - As part of the Quebec Liberal Party's General Council, held in the Eastern Townships, Mr. Felipe Morales has been officially nominated as the Quebec Liberal Party's candidate in the Bertrand riding.
A lawyer and committed activist, Felipe Morales has had a deep bond with the Laurentians and Quebec for almost forty years. Born in Mexico, he settled in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts at the age of 15, after living in France and the United States. It was in the Laurentians that he completed his secondary education, developed his interest in Quebec history and governance, and chose to build his future.
Admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1995, he has devoted his career to advising citizens, organizations and businesses. His professional career has also led him to contribute to the development of relations between Quebec and Mexico, his country of birth, while assisting numerous individuals in their efforts to integrate and realize their projects.
A long-standing supporter of the Quebec Liberal Party since his naturalization as a Canadian citizen, Felipe Morales has been involved in a number of electoral campaigns, notably participating in the efforts of the "No" camp in the 1995 referendum. His political commitment is based on a deep-seated conviction: to offer future generations the same opportunities as those offered to him by Quebec.
Passionate about community life and deeply attached to the Laurentians, Felipe Morales now wishes to put his experience, background and commitment at the service of the citizens of Bertrand. Convinced of the importance of local politics, he intends to defend the region's interests and contribute to its development, while respecting its unique character and quality of life.
