Montreal, May 8, 2026 - In the presence of activists and community members, Mr. Frantz Benjamin was officially invested as the Quebec Liberal Party candidate in the riding of Viau, where he will be seeking a new mandate.
MNA for Viau since 2018, Frantz Benjamin has a long record of public engagement, community service and advocacy for the citizens of his riding. Prior to his arrival at the National Assembly, he served for nearly ten years as city councillor in the Saint-Michel district of Montreal, and chaired the Montreal City Council from 2013 to 2017. Since November 29th 2022, he has also held the position of Third Vice-President of the Quebec National Assembly.
Highly involved in his community, he is co-founder of the "Fonds 1804 pour la persévérance scolaire" and has contributed to a number of initiatives related to governance, educational success and intercultural relations. A lecturer, author and member of the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec, he has also made a name for himself in the literary world, with the publication of several critically acclaimed works.
Renowned for his humane approach, his commitment to youth and his closeness to citizens, Frantz Benjamin is pursuing his political involvement with the determination to continue defending the interests of Viau families and concretely improving their quality of life.
