The Quebec Liberal Party today made public the report of the independent inquiry led by the Honourable Justice Jacques R. Fournier into the allegations reported in the Journal de Montréal on November 19 and December 2, 2025 concerning the 2025 leadership race.
Commissioned by the QLP Executive Council in the fall of 2025, Judge Fournier's mandate was to shed light on these allegations, including the alleged existence of payments to influence voting, the people involved, the amounts involved, the number of votes concerned, as well as any potential violations of the Election Act, the party's Code of Ethics or the rules of the race.
The QLP reaffirms its commitment to maintaining a climate of trust, ethics and respect for democratic rules within its governing bodies.
