Sherbrooke, July 20, 2026 — In the presence of Quebec Liberal Party leader Charles Milliard, Ms. Jacqueline Belleau was officially announced as the Quebec Liberal Party’s candidate in the Saint-François riding for the upcoming general election.

An experienced manager, public affairs professional, and recognized unifier, Jacqueline Belleau has dedicated her career to community development, public service, and bringing citizens, institutions, and organizations closer together. Her career path, which has taken her from the United Nations to the Eastern Townships, reflects a steadfast commitment to the common good.

A native of Indiana, she studied political science and French at Stetson University before earning a master’s degree in international development from the University of Geneva. She then embarked on a career with the United Nations, where she worked in the fields of development, humanitarian aid, and immigration, notably in Geneva, Armenia, and New York.

Jacqueline Belleau has lived in Sherbrooke since 2004, where she has raised her family and put down deep roots in the region. Over the past twenty years, she has held leadership positions in the private, public, and community sectors, notably at NGC Aerospace, Actions Interculturelles, the Sherbrooke Phoenix, and with the Honorable Marie-Claude Bibeau. Today, she serves as Manager of Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships at the Bishop’s University Foundation, where she helps strengthen ties between the university, businesses, donors, and the community.

A Francophile with deep ties to Quebec, Jacqueline Belleau has always been actively involved in her community. Known for her ability to bring people together, build consensus, and move projects forward with a pragmatic approach, she now hopes to put her experience, her willingness to listen, and her leadership skills to work for the citizens of Saint-François.

“After more than twenty years of service to our community, it is with great enthusiasm that I look forward to putting my experience, my networks, and my ability to bring people together to work on behalf of the residents of Saint-François. Charles Milliard’s vision, combined with the high caliber of the Liberal team we are building in the Eastern Townships, gives me immense confidence in the future and makes me very proud to join this team.”
