Portneuf, August 3, 2026 — The Quebec Liberal Party is proud to announce the candidacy of Mr. Jeremy Ouellet-Rousseau in the Portneuf riding for the upcoming general election.

Jeremy Ouellet-Rousseau, a city councilor for the City of Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier, is making the leap to provincial politics to join the Quebec Liberal Party under the leadership of Charles Milliard.

After studying accounting, transportation, and business administration, he began his professional career as an operations supervisor at Kaycan, a company specializing in the manufacture of building materials, where he covered a vast territory stretching from Ottawa to Halifax. For more than three years, he held various positions there, including distribution manager for eastern Quebec and part of New Brunswick.

Jeremy Ouellet-Rousseau then became a project manager and later acting head of operations and facilities at the Société de protection des forêts contre les insectes et les maladies (SOPFIM), where he contributed to projects throughout Quebec.

More recently, in April 2026, he accepted the position of Chief Operating Officer for the greater Quebec City region at the Ortec Group, a company that specializes in providing engineering, industrial, and environmental services to organizations.

With a commitment to serving citizens at the heart of his career, Jeremy Ouellet-Rousseau entered local politics and was elected councilor for District 1 of the City of Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier with 71.51% of the vote in last November’s election. In this capacity, he also serves as vice-chair of the board of directors and the executive committee of the Office municipal d’habitation du Grand-Portneuf. In addition to his involvement in municipal politics, Jeremy Ouellet-Rousseau also serves on several boards of directors and committees for community organizations in the region.

“I firmly believe that we must unite, come together, and work together to implement concrete solutions that meet the real needs of families, workers, entrepreneurs, municipalities, organizations, seniors, and farmers in Portneuf. Until October 5, I’ll be out in the community, meeting with you, to promote the ideas of the Quebec Liberal Party and Charles Milliard.”

— Jeremy Ouellet-Rousseau, QLP candidate in Portneuf

“I am very pleased that Jeremy has agreed to join our team to represent the citizens of Portneuf, given his deep commitment to his community, both as a city council member and as a board member of the Office municipal d’habitation du Grand-Portneuf. Against a backdrop marked by the housing crisis and deteriorating relations between municipalities and Quebec City over the past eight years, his candidacy is fully in line with our commitment to making progress on these issues. “Jeremy and the citizens of Portneuf can count on me to campaign alongside him and deliver a Liberal government that will rebuild Quebec and make the economy the driving force behind our ambitions!”

- Charles Milliard, Leader of the Quebec Liberal Party
