Saint-Eustache, June 22, 2026 — In the presence of the leader of the Quebec Liberal Party, Mr. Charles Milliard, and several local party activists, Mr. Marc Allaire was officially nominated as the QLP candidate for the Deux-Montagnes riding.

A high school science teacher for nearly thirty years in schools in Laval and the Lower Laurentians, Marc Allaire is making the leap into provincial politics with the Quebec Liberal Party. A native of Lanaudière with deep roots in his community, he has dedicated his life to educating young people while, over the years, developing a multifaceted commitment as an educator, community builder, activist, and keen observer of the world. In 2022, he ran for the PLQ in Deux-Montagnes and is returning in 2026 with the same conviction, strengthened by his interactions with the county’s residents and convinced that the region finally deserves a strong and committed voice in the National Assembly.

A teacher since 1997, Marc Allaire has taught science to generations of students in the region’s high schools. Passionate about education and convinced that it is the primary driver of a society’s development, he sees his role as a teacher as a commitment to serving young people and fostering critical thinking.

In the 2000s, he founded two high school soccer programs in the greater Laval-Laurentides-Lanaudière region, where he served as a coach. Since 2010, he has been active in his teachers’ union, holding various leadership positions. An avid traveler who has visited more than a hundred countries on every continent, he draws on these experiences to cultivate an open-mindedness that fuels his commitment to the community.

Marc Allaire knows the realities of Deux-Montagnes firsthand, having run his first campaign there in 2022 and engaged directly with the county’s residents. He is returning in 2026 with a renewed conviction: the region deserves a genuine, strong, and committed voice in the National Assembly. Education is at the heart of his platform—as a teacher for nearly thirty years, he knows what our schools need to fulfill their mission. Community development, support for local organizations, and the vitality of sports and cultural communities are among his priorities. In the National Assembly, he will be a voice rooted in the daily lives of the people of Deux-Montagnes—someone who knows the area well and isn’t afraid to fight for them.

“I’ve traveled to more than a hundred countries, but it took me a trip around the world to realize that what we have here in Deux-Montagnes is worth defending. In thirty years of teaching, I’ve seen our young people dream big but lack the resources to make those dreams a reality. What I want to bring to the National Assembly is a voice that knows the reality on the ground, that believes in our people, and that isn’t afraid to fight—alongside Charles Milliard.”

— Marc Allaire, QLP candidate in Deux-Montagnes

“Marc Allaire is the kind of candidate who strengthens our democracy. A science teacher for nearly thirty years, a founder of youth sports programs, a union activist, and a seasoned traveler, his career reflects a deep commitment to young people and communities. In 2022, he demonstrated his determination in Deux-Montagnes. He is returning in 2026 with even greater conviction and energy. He is a candidate our party is very proud to welcome.”
