Sherbrooke, June 6, 2026 - As part of the Quebec Liberal Party's General Council meeting in the Eastern Townships, Mariliz Turla-Vadnais has been officially nominated as the Quebec Liberal Party candidate in the Saint-Hyacinthe riding.
Born and raised in Saint-Hyacinthe, Mariliz Turla-Vadnais has always been driven by the desire to serve her community and contribute concretely to its development. With a degree in communications from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, she has devoted her career to bringing citizens, organizations and institutions closer together afin order to foster dialogue and mutual understanding.
Her career path has led her to work in the public, private and community sectors. At 23, she joined the team of former New Brunswick Premier Brian Gallant, where she acquired a solid understanding of public institutions. An entrepreneur from the age of 24, she also developed a concrete knowledge of the défis faced by job creators and small businesses.
Elected as a municipal councillor in New Brunswick's Capital Region, she has been particularly involved with Francophone military families and the promotion of the French language. Over the years, she has worked with numerous organizations as a communications strategist, enabling her to better understand the realities of families, workers, farmers, entrepreneurs and community organizations.
Mariliz Turla-Vadnais is deeply attached to Saint-Hyacinthe, where her roots lie and where her commitment was forged. Today, she wishes to put her experience, leadership and energy at the service of the region's citizens and defend the priorities that matter to them on a daily basis.
