Saint-Joseph-de-Kamouraska, on June 19, 2026 — In the presence of Quebec Liberal Party leader Charles Milliard and numerous local party activists, Ms. Nancy St-Pierre was officially nominated as the Quebec Liberal Party’s candidate in the Côte-du-Sud riding for the upcoming general election.
A native of Sainte-Hélène-de-Kamouraska, Nancy St-Pierre is deeply rooted in her region. As the daughter of entrepreneurs, she developed a sense of service, management, and commitment at a very early age while working in the family business in Saint-Pascal. With a degree in administrative techniques, specializing in finance, she has built a career spanning more than 25 years in the fields of financial services, accounting, and economic development, notably with the Desjardins Group and Farm Credit Canada. Her professional experience has also enabled her to support numerous businesses, particularly in the agricultural sector.
Her commitment to her community is equally remarkable. A school board member for nearly fifteen years and a city council member before being elected mayor of Saint-Joseph-de-Kamouraska in 2017, Nancy St-Pierre has always chosen to get involved where she could make a tangible difference. She has also devoted many years to volunteering with organizations in her community and has been actively involved in municipal and regional affairs.
As the wife of a dairy farmer and co-owner of a family-run maple syrup farm, she has firsthand knowledge of the realities faced by farmers, entrepreneurs, and families in rural areas. Her experience with the Fédération québécoise des municipalités Assurances has also allowed her to develop expertise on issues related to land use and community development.
Driven by the values of community, transparency, and hard work, Nancy St-Pierre now hopes to put her experience to work for the citizens of Côte-du-Sud in order to advocate for the region’s priorities and contribute to its economic and social development.
“All my life, I’ve chosen to get involved in my community because I deeply believe that the regions are the heart of Quebec. As a mayor, a manager, the spouse of a farmer, and an entrepreneur, I understand the challenges faced by local families, municipalities, and businesses. Today, I want to bring that voice to the National Assembly. I am proud to be teaming up with Charles Milliard, and I am convinced that we can build a government that will trust the regions and give them the means to reach their full potential.”
— Nancy St-Pierre, QLP candidate in Côte-du-Sud
“Nancy St-Pierre is a hands-on leader who knows her region well because she has lived, worked, and been actively involved there her entire life. Her experience in local government, her knowledge of the agricultural sector, and her background in economic development give her a practical understanding of the realities faced by the residents of Côte-du-Sud. This is exactly the kind of leadership rooted in the community that we want to promote. I am very pleased that she is joining our team.”
