En route to the 2018 general election
Longueuil, June 10, 2018. – Surrounded by many party members and supporters, Mohammed Barhone was nominated as the official candidate for the Quebec Liberal Party (QLP) in the riding of Taillon for the upcoming 2018 general election.
My civic involvement goes beyond my desire to help others; to me, it’s the best way to express the value of cooperation with my community. As a father of two young girls, it is essential to me that this value be passed on to future generations. As a man of principle with the interests of others at heart, my entry into politics is a result of my desire to address the concerns of my fellow citizens.

Note that the Liberal government has balanced our public finances to give us the means to invest more in our priorities. Since May 2014, more than 229,500 jobs have been created in Québec; the unemployment rate has been at an all-time low for several months; over 1,000,000 Quebecers now have access to a family doctor; taxes have decreased; and major investments have been made, particularly in health and education.
My experiences have allowed me not only to become aware of current issues, but also to take action to instigate change. Now I want to bring this change to my fellow residents in Taillon; change that will open the way to economic, social and cultural progress for the riding of Taillon.
