Saint-Lambert, June 29, 2026 — In the presence of Quebec Liberal Party leader Charles Milliard, Mr. David Bowles was officially announced as the Quebec Liberal Party’s candidate in the Pierre-Laporte riding for the upcoming general election.
An experienced administrator and recognized leader in the field of education, David Bowles has dedicated his career—spanning more than twenty-five years—to the success of young people, institutional development, and innovation in education. As Executive Director of Collège Charles-Lemoyne since 2011, he has spearheaded a major transformation of the institution, marked in particular by growth of more than 40%, the creation of new educational programs, significant investments in infrastructure, the development of the largest sports-study program in Quebec, and the establishment of an educational clinic for students with learning difficulties.
His career combines extensive experience in public administration, governance, and community engagement. A former city council member for the City of Saint-Lambert from 2013 to 2021, he chaired the Finance and Human Resources Committee and represented the municipality on several regional bodies. As a lecturer at the University of Sherbrooke for several years, he also helped train the next generation of school administrators.
He holds a master’s degree in public administration from ENAP, a graduate diploma in educational leadership from McGill University, and a certification in corporate governance. David Bowles has completed professional development programs at Harvard University and in Finland on international best practices in education. Awarded the Quebec Order of Excellence in Education in 2021, he is recognized for his commitment to educational success, particularly among young people with learning difficulties.
Deeply involved in his community, he has chaired or served on numerous boards of directors in the fields of education, health, and community services, notably by helping to establish the Longueuil Community Social Pediatrics Center. As a father of four, he now hopes to put his management experience, leadership, and commitment to work for the residents of Pierre-Laporte in order to help build a Quebec where education, innovation, and community development are top priorities.
“My entire career has been guided by a simple conviction: when we invest in our youth, we invest in Quebec’s future. Today, I wish to continue this commitment in a different way, by putting my experience in education, governance, and public administration to work for the citizens of Pierre-Laporte. I am proud to join Charles Milliard’s team, with the goal of helping to build a Québec where everyone can reach their full potential and where education once again becomes a true national priority.”
— David Bowles, QLP candidate in Pierre-Laporte

His track record shows that it is possible to innovate, bring people together, and achieve tangible results without ever losing sight of the human element. His experience in education, management, and governance will be an exceptional asset for the residents of Pierre-Laporte. I am very pleased to welcome him to our team.”
