Biography
A native of Drummondville, where she has lived for more than 30 years, Alexandra Houle served until very recently as executive director of the Drummond Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCID). She took office in 2019, where she oversaw the organization’s strategic, financial, and human resources management, engaged local socioeconomic stakeholders, and served as the organization’s spokesperson.
She grew up in a family deeply involved in politics. As the daughter of a federal political aide, she was exposed to public life from her teenage years onward—an experience that shaped her path and fueled her commitment to her community.
Alexandra Houle began her professional career in the property and casualty insurance sector from 2003 to 2014. In 2007, she took her first steps as a legislative aide, a role she resumed from 2014 to 2019. In this capacity, she was responsible for managing the district offices, monitoring municipal and community issues, and providing direct support to constituents.
The QLP candidate in Marie-Lacoste-Gérin-Lajoie has also served on the boards of directors of numerous regional organizations, including Cégep Drummond, Plein air Drummond and Parc Aventure Drummond, the Junior Chamber of Drummond, as well as the Centre-du-Québec Regional Council of Labor Market Partners.
