Biography

André Fortin has served as MP for Pontiac since 2014. During his three terms as MNA, he also held various positions, including Minister of Transport, Sustainable Mobility and Transportation Electrification and Leader of the Official Opposition, a position he currently holds.

He was twice named Parliamentarian of the Year by La Presse.

A native of Quyon, André Fortin now resides in Aylmer with his wife Marlene and two daughters, Maëlle and Élodie. Prior to entering politics, he held a number of strategic positions, notably with the Brewers Association of Canada and TELUS. He holds an MBA from the University of Ottawa.

Its political involvement is based on clear objectives in terms of improving access to healthcare, and regional economic development in the Outaouais.
