Biography

The daughter of Jewish immigrants from Morocco and Latvia, Elisabeth Prass grew up in Côte Saint-Luc. As the Member of the National Assembly for D’Arcy-McGee, she entered politics to ensure strong representation for the residents of her riding. As the mother of two young boys, one of whom has special needs, she is particularly attuned to the challenges faced by these families and wants to give them a voice in the National Assembly.

A member of the National Assembly since 2022, Elisabeth is the Official Opposition’s spokesperson on social services, mental health, the fight against homelessness, and issues affecting people living with disabilities or on the autism spectrum. She has also served as the official opposition’s spokesperson for relations with English-speaking Quebecers since June 26, 2025.

With a bachelor’s degree in sociology and political science from Concordia University and a graduate certificate in international business from McGill University, Elisabeth has 15 years of experience in politics. She has worked at various levels of provincial government, including as a researcher and translator for the parliamentary office, as a policy advisor to ministers of Economic Development, Innovation, and Exports, and as director of the D’Arcy-McGee county office. She also served as senior advisor for government and community relations at VIA Rail Canada.

Today, Elisabeth Prass hopes to continue her commitment to the residents of D’Arcy-McGee and to keep representing them with attentiveness and determination in the National Assembly.
