Biography
A native of Montreal, Jean-Marc Allard has built his career in the information technology sector. Among other achievements, he founded the U.S. division of a Canadian company specializing in banking IT in New York. Upon returning to Quebec, he expanded his expertise into the insurance industry by joining the family firm.
He lived in Gaspé for eight years, where he became involved in the business community. As vice president and later president of the Gaspé Chamber of Commerce, he worked on regional development, helped establish a manufacturing company producing surgical products, and collaborated with students at the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles.
Upon returning to Montreal, the QLP candidate in the Chicoutimi riding (riding) rejoined the family insurance business. A longtime member of the Quebec Liberal Party, he received the Lucienne-Saillant Award from the party. He is married and the father of two young professionals.
