Candidate

Biography

After more than 15 years of professional experience in management, business development, strategic sales, and human resources management in the private sector, Julie Tourangeau is making the leap into provincial politics as a Liberal candidate.

An entrepreneur, she has owned Brasserie Les 2 Richard and Plan B Traiteur since 2015. Before starting her own business, the QLP candidate in Groulx worked for major companies, including PepsiCo and Wrigley, where she held various positions in business development. Her career, both as a manager at large corporations and as an entrepreneur, has enabled her to develop solid experience in management, business development, and leadership.

The restaurant industry, in which she has been working for several years, is present in every region of Quebec. It is an industry that many Quebecers know well, either because they have worked in it or because they have patronized establishments like the ones she manages today.

Julie Tourangeau holds a bachelor’s degree in career counseling from the University of Sherbrooke. She also holds a certificate in human resources management and a certificate in leadership and management skills.

Active in her community for several years, she has served, among other roles, as president of the Chambre de commerce du cœur des Laurentides. Over the years, she has also been involved with several community organizations, serving as a board member on various boards of directors, including those of Sainte-Agathe-des-Arts and the Center for Personalized Support for Pregnant Teenagers and Young Mothers (CAP JEM), a nonprofit organization located in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts that provides low-cost transitional housing and personalized support for low-income pregnant young women or single mothers aged 18 to 35.
