Patrice Léger-Bourgoin

Biography

Born in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, I hold a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the University of Montreal. I began my career in the media, notably at the regional radio station CFLV, The Canadian Press, and CKAC 730.

Building on my experience in communications and journalism, I then moved into public affairs and government relations, serving as a spokesperson for well-known organizations such as Culinar, Domtar, and the Casino de Montréal.

As an experienced manager, I have applied my expertise to the nonprofit sector as Executive Director of the Quebec Brewers Association. In this role, I represented the brewing industry before government agencies and business partners, developing a deep understanding of industry and regulatory issues.

I currently serve as Executive Director of the Association des producteurs maraîchers du Québec, where I oversee operations at the Place des producteurs on Pie-IX Boulevard in Montreal, one of the largest wholesale fruit and vegetable markets in Eastern North America. This strategic role has given me a solid understanding of agri-food issues and supply chains, which are central to Saint-Jean’s regional economy.
