Thierno Diallo

Biography

A recognized professional in economic development, governance, and organizational development, Thierno Diallo’s career combines solid academic expertise with extensive hands-on experience. He holds a master’s degree in public program evaluation from the École nationale d’administration publique, as well as several graduate degrees in fields such as human resources, international relations, law, public management, and regional development.

Currently the Commissioner for Economic Development for the City of Montreal, he previously taught law for more than five years at the University of Toulouse 1 Capitole in France. He has also carried out consulting assignments in sustainable development, ethics, and governance for international organizations, while supporting numerous Montreal-based community organizations in their organizational development projects.

Deeply involved in his community, Thierno Diallo is a co-founder and president of the African Federation and Associations of Canada. Over the years, he has also held several leadership positions within Quebec organizations, notably as vice president of the Quebec Cooperative Housing Federation. His ongoing commitment reflects a desire to bring people together, promote inclusion, and put his expertise to work for the common good.

Convinced that economic development, education, and effective governance are essential drivers for improving the quality of life for Quebecers, he now hopes to represent the citizens of Mercier in the National Assembly and help build a more prosperous, more inclusive, and forward-looking Quebec.
